World Vision International (WVI)
World Vision International (WVI) was founded in 1950, this international NGO has been WFP's major cooperating, complementary, and coordinating partner for several years, having collaborated with SF in as many as 29 countries in 2005, and currently in 14 countries in January 2007. Worldwide, WV collaborates with WFP in 23 countries (16 in Africa, 6 in Asia and 1 in South America).
World Vision collaborates with WFP in Total Free Relief Food Assistance, Health, Education, and Food for Work programmes.
WVI is involved in the project design process, and carries out the following services for WFP: assessment, transport, storage, distribution, monitoring, evaluation, as well as other activities related to food.
WVI signed a Global Memorandum of Understanding with WFP in 1996."
