This thematic group focuses on fashioning out a coordinated response to the HIV&AIDS pandemic. Issues such as the development of a framework through which tertiary education institutions would develop HIV&AIDS policies that are suitable to their situations; the development of a system through which new developments on HIV&AIDS would be shared with the tertiary institutions as well as the development of a system whereby the National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE) could track HIV&AIDS prevention and management initiatives by the institutions. It also focuses on developing implementation plans to roll out in-service and pre-service programs nationally.
