One Childhood
The award-winning documentary One Childhood relates the Eritrean success in supporting the development of its children through seamlessly delivering a school health programme, even in the most inaccessible communities, as a direct consequence of a strong partnership between the education and health sectors.
Other films in the series
One Childhood is the second of three films in a series of award winning documentaries about education, health and HIV in Africa. The first film in the series Window of Hope showcases teachers reaching out to their students during their critical years to educate them about HIV and assist them in developing the life skills to avoid infection. The third in the series Courage and Hope: African Teachers Living Positively With HIV gives voice to the estimated 122,000 teachers in sub-Saharan Africa living with HIV, many of whom have not sought testing and do not know their status.
All three of these powerful films are aimed at those working in the education and health sectors as excellent advocacy tools and teaching aids.
